16 Oct. 2015 – Al Riyadi Beirut’s Women Team is currently participating in the Arab clubs championship and managed to grab a win in their first game there.
In this championship, the Lebanese team has taken advantage of a new addition, Gabriella Abi Saad, who replaced Magalie Gemayel in the team. Magalie has indeed left the team following a mutual agreement between both teams.
Gabriella is a Lebanese-Mexican player, who used to play in the Mexican league. Her father is of Lebanese origins so she was granted the nationality and will therefore play with Al Riyadi as Lebanese in the local league and other competitions.
In her first game with the club, Abi Saad scored 8 points and stole the ball 4 times. Best of luck Gabriella, she will no doubt be a great addition to the team!
