07 May. 2017- After 2 disappointing rounds, Karl Massaad made history by being the first Lebanese & Arab driver to grab a podium in Formula 4. Our young driver showed a great pace in his first 2 rounds but luck wasn’t on his side to achieve the positions that he deserved. However, Karl knew that his speed will get him to his target of reaching the podium.
The qualifying session wasn’t the best for Karl as he managed to grab 8th place after struggling with his car, but this didn’t dampen his ambition to reach his target. The race was exciting for Karl, as he successfully went from P8 to P3 and was able to maintain his position till the end of the race.
“I started the race from P8 and it was a great fight with other high-level drivers from lap 1. I managed to jump to P3 in the 5th lap of the race and then all my focus was to maintain my position and create a gap with the cars behind me.” – Karl said about the race.
Karl is proving race after race that he has the talent and that he’s capable of competing with high-level drivers in Formula 4. Seeing the Lebanese flag on the Formula 4 podium for the first time is definitely a great achievement, keep it up champ.
