29 May. 2017 – The Lebanese 3×3 delegation concluded its participation at the U18 Asia Cup in Malaysia, where our young players went toe to toe against Asia’s best 3 men teams.
In the men category, our national team beat Malaysia in front of their own fans to qualify to the semi finals. Unfortunately, despite a very close game, Chinese Taipei ended up winning while Lebanon’s captain Salim Alaa El Dine fell to an injury.
This affected the young team a lot, as we also lost the 3rd-4th placement match and thus ended up 4th. Nevertheless, it’s still an excellent result from our young boys.
On the other hand, our girls lost in the quarter finals against China who went on to finish with the bronze medal. Hard luck and best wishes for the future!
