20 Oct. 2015 – Beirut Marathon Association is organizing the 13th edition of the BDL Beirut Marathon on November 8th, 2015. Runners from all around Lebanon will come together to run for peace and become peace runners. You can find below all the details you need to know for the marathon!
Start and Finish Locations:
- All races start next to the Armenian Cathedral on the Damascus Road (opposite direction to the traffic) in the Saifi Area.
- All races finish in Downtown on Ahmad Shwaki Street next to the Starco Building.
Available Parking’s on Race day:
- Martyr’s Square
- Beirut Souks
- Charles El Helou
- Opposite to the Lebanese Army Naval Base.

- 6:50 – 42,195 km Special Needs Start
- 7:00 – 42,195 km Start & 42,195 km Relay Start
- 8:45 – 5 km Start Race & 5 km Special Needs Start Race
- 9:10 – 2 km Run with Parents Start
- 9:15 – 10 km Race Start
- 9:20 – 10 km Special Needs Start
- 9:30 – 10 km Fun Run Start
Directions to the Parking Areas:
- 42,195 Km participants:
- All Participants should be at the Martyr’s Square parking before 6:00 am.
- All the participants will be transferred to the gathering point at Saifi parking opposite to the Armenian Cathedral in front of the Cathedral garden on the Damascus road.
- 2K, 5K, 10K participants from South:
- Khaldeh Highway- Airport Highway.
- Kuwait Embassy Tunnel.
- Salim Slam Bridge.
- Right towards Fouad Chehab Bridge.
- Left towards Georges Haddad, then left next to Lebanese Navy Base, on Shafik Wazan Street (opposite direction to traffic), to reach the assigned parking opposite to the Navy Base or at Beirut Souks.
- Charles el Helou Station.
- Martyr’s Square parking.
- 2K, 5K, 10K participants from North:
- Dora Highway to reach Al Moughtarib Statue.
- Downhill towards Charles El Helou Station.
- Then Beirut Port intersection with George Haddad.
- To reach Beirut Souks parking or Charles el Helou or Martyr’s Square parking.
- All participants can park their cars on Forum De Beirut and will transfer them by shuttle buses to the start line at the Saifi Village Area.
- All Participants from Bekaa and Mountains:
- President Emile Lahoud Highway, left towards President Elias Hrawi Avenue.
- Towards Achrafieh to reach Hotel Due de France Hospital.
- Take the tunnel under Sassine Square to reach Spinneys.
- Then towards Al Ghazal tower.
- Take your right towards Martyr’s Square or Charles El Helou or the parking opposite to the Lebanese Army Navy Base or Beirut Souks.
VIP and Media coming from South, North and Bekaa pass the same roads as the participants to reach Al Ghazal tower; available parking is assigned for them opposite to the Armenian Cathedral next in the Saifi Village. Using special cards, they can go to the finish line by:
- Al Ghazal tower intersection Fouad Chehab Bridge.
- President Suleiman Frangieh Tunnel towards Al Manara.
- To the Hotel Monroe turning right next to the hotel.
- Available parking behind the Porches Company.

- Reaching Sodeco intersection passing by Sodeco square
- Toward USJ- Faculty of Medicine then French embassy
- Passing next to the museum toward Badaro intersection
- Go right next to Ministry of social affairs towards Badaro
- Passing by Dowar el Shamis theater towards Sami el Solih street
- Turning right towards Tayouneh then towards Jamal abed el Nasir Street
- Next to Horsh Beirut to reach Shatila Roundabout
- Going right towards November 22 street (kaskas) until you reach Saeb Salam street
- Taking your left side opposite to the traffic toward Barbir roundabout
- Then your right towards Falafel Khalifeh Resturant with the traffic
- Passing Saeb Salam Avenue (kornish L Mazraa) passing El Refaie and Saint Elias Intersection
- Until you reach Unisco and Saeb Salam intersection
- Taking your right towards Verdun uphill (Against traffic)
- Passing 732- Verdun Towards ISF Barbar el Khazin ase
- To reach BlOM Bank turning right to reach Emile Eddeh – Spears intersection
- Passing by the Ministry of interior- Alsanaieh Garden
- To reach Spears And Justinian Street intersection
- Take your left to Reach the Central Bank- BDL street
- To reach El Hamra Street Rome intersection
- Hamra Street to reach the intersection of Sadat street and Hamra street
- Going right passing Sadat street then turn right to meet the Intersecction of Sadat and Bliss streets ( Against traffic)
- Passing American University of Beirut towards John Kennedy street (against Traffic)
- Turn Left at the intersection of Bliss and John Kennedy streets
- After you finish John Kennedy Street- Holiday In to reach Omar Daaouk Street (against Traffic)
- To reach Waygand street near Beirut Souks (against Traffic)
- Near Al Nahar newspaper towards Kadmous Street El kataeib House intersection (against Traffic)
- Turning right at George Hadad intersection towards Paul restaurant (against Traffic)
- To reach Gemayzeh Intersection then your left towards General Gorro Street
- Along Armenia Street in Mar Michal area
- To reach Saint George street next to Saint George Church ( community service center)
- To reach Independence Statue then to Saint Maroun Street
- To reach Hankash Street then take your left to reach Ogust Bakhuos Street next to Saint George Hospital
- To reach Dora Roundabout (against Traffic)
- Passing Ayanyan Building towards Borj Hamoud (with traffic) towards Armenia street until the end of the street
- To reach Borj Hammoud Municipality Square then the bridge towards Mar Michel
- When you reach Borj Hamoud entrance take your left under the bridge
- To reach Dbayeh Sea Road towards Dbayeh
- To reach before Antonies restaurant on the Sea Side road
- 180 u-turn and on the same Road to reach form de Beirut
- Then your right to reach charle helow street
- Then el-Moghtarib Statue take your right to reach Beirut Port
- Then President Shafik Wazan Avenue towards Majid ersulan Avenue the Wafic Sino street
- Passing beside Saint George next to President Rafic Hariri Statue
- On the Sea side of Mina El Hosen

- To reach Zaytoune Bay take your right on Caragula Building
- Your right again on General Fronsua el Hajj Street
