13 Nov. 2015 – Chafik KHOURY from the Lebanese Army won the Lebanese Fencing title in the Epee! The Championship was held in Mont La Salle Sports Club and was organized by the Lebanese Fencing Championship.
Chafik was able to grab the gold medal after defeating his teammate in the Lebanese Army and the National Team coach Ziad JALBOUT in the finals.
Paul CHAHINE from Mont La Salle who is participating for the first time in the Lebanese Championship, was able to take third place with Tanios ATALLAH from the Lebanese Army.
The Championship was named after the National coach and former Lebanese Champion Michel SAIKALI who passed away earlier this year.
Ziad ABOU ARAJ, our international referee, supervised the championship, while Michel YOUSSEF and Claudine RIZK, the two international referees, along with our national referees Ramy BAYDOUN and Antoine ANISSI, supervised the matches.
