16 Nov. 2015 – For the second year in a row, Mohamad BAGHDADI bagged the Lebanese triathlon championship, with the best time overall and in his age group!
The championship was taking place in Tripoli, with over 40 participants competing in Sprint Distance which consists of 750 meters swim, 20 kilometers bike and 5 kilometers run.
Mohamad managed to set a time of 1 hour 10 minutes to grab first place, ahead of the Lebanese army participants who finished in second and third place.
Before the race, BAGHDADI was worried about the weather but the sun came up as soon as the competition started. Also, following his victory, Mohamad explained that he gave it his all in the swimming part to increase the gap and start biking with an advantage. He was successful in doing that and ended up winning!
A great job by the Lebanese champion, who came close to breaking his personal best (1hour and 8min in the Arab championship). According to Mohamad, if he spends more time bike-training, he will surely break it in no time!
