02 Dec. 2015 – The Lebanese army player, Sergeant Wassim Obeid, won a gold medal at the Cyprus International Judo Tournament. The event took place on November 28th in Cyprus.
Obeid was part of the army Judo delegation at the competition and defeated three opponents to grab gold. First, he beat Kiriako Giannajotis from Cyprus by knock out, then Kanaan Fanos from Cyprus also by knock out and Abrian Farchan from Cyprus by abandon!
