04 Dec. 2015 – In the 12th week of the Lebanese futsal league, the leaders Bank of Beirut came near of a heavy defeat against Choueifat, but ended up winning the game 7-6!
The game was one of the best this year, and BoB came very close to losing the match and thus the league top place had they lost!
Bank of Beirut were coming out of a 15-0 win against AUCE while Choueifat had just suffered a 10-1 defeat against the Lebanese army, so the game was expected to be easy for the leaders. Choueifat obviously had a different opinion and gave the champions a hard time and a match they will never forget!
In the first half of the game, Choueifat managed to grab a 3-2 lead with 2 goals from Ali Sheet and 1 from Mahmoud Dakik, while Vladan Vesic and Yasser Salman scored BoB’s goals.
An early strike from Mahmoud Dakik then gave Choueifat a 4-2 lead at the beginning of the second half before 2 goals from Vladan got BoB back to the game. A minute later the lead shifted to the league leaders for the first time in the game with a goal from Ahmad Kheir El Dine. Later on, Mahmoud Dakik and Ali El Hajj gave the lead back to Choueifat with 2 strikes that made the score 6-5.
But at the end, it was Bank of Beirut who prevailed, with 2 goals from Mahdi Kobeissi and Ahmad Kheir El Dine to end the game 7-6!
