He was able to overcome all the challenges during the finals to win the title. “My main challenge is my weight. There is no denying, I’m a bit heavy. Secondly, the other competitors are much more experienced than I am, so it was quite challenging!” Added Antoine.
Antoine’s main goal is to be crowned the world champion! He will be competing next week in the Senior Championship, and in few months, he will compete at the Asian Championship. In April, he will be fighting for the Youth World Championship title!
To achieve his dream goal, Antoine is training four times a week; twice private lessons with his coach and twice in a common class. He also workout every day, and now he is focusing on his cardio training “to loose weight to be able to perform better”. He also attends international training camps.
About his time management between school and training Antoine said: “I’m in the 10th grade, which is not easy, it requires a lot of studying for exams, however, I manage to stick to my training schedule thoroughly without missing a single session. I’m dedicated to my studies as well as my passion and dream of Fencing!” Antoine concluded.
It is always exciting to see such a young talent dedicated to his passion and working hard to achieve his dreams! Best of luck Antoine for the World Championship!
