05 Jan 2015 – The Lebanese Rugby Union Federation organised, from the 13th of December 2015 until the 20th in cooperation with the Lebanese Olympic committee and the Rugby Asian Federation, training sessions for club coaches, PE teachers and rugby players.
22 rugby lovers participated in the courses that were held in order to raise experience and knowledge of the game and the awareness of the law of both the theoretical and practical levels.
Tony Khoury, the vice president of the Lebanese Olympic committee and a member of the International Olympic Committee attended the event.
The Lebanese Union Federation also announced a similar course in the beginning of 2016 for the largest possible number of people involved in order to create and prepare local rugby referees. The event will also be in coordination with the concerned parties, especially the Lebanese Olympic Committee.
