08 Jan. 2016 – The Lebanese Table Tennis Federation came out with some important decisions regarding the major international championships in Table tennis for 2016!
First, the federation agreed on the participation of Club Al Nadwa Kamatiya in the 3rd Arab Sports Games for Women that will be held in Al Charika, UAE, from the 2nd to the 13th of February 2016.
On the other hand, Imad MERHEB, the international table tennis referee will be part of the referee team at the Summer Olympic Games Rio de Janiero 2016!
Moreover, the federation invited Rachid AL BOUBOU, Joseph CHALHOUB, Mohamad AL HABACH, Mohamad HAIYE, Avo MONJOGOLIAN, Marina SAHAKIAN, Lara KAJBACHIAN, Noel KICHICHIAN, Mayssa BSAYBES and Leticia AZAR, for the World championship trial, that will be held on the 13th of January, at 6:00 PM in Mont La Salle.
The federation will choose three male and three female to take part in the Table Tennis World Championship that is taking place in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, from the 28th of February to the 2nd of March.
Furthermore, the federation decided to send one male and one female to the U21 Francophonie Championship that is taking place in Belgium from April 20th to 24th.
Finally, the federation congratulated Al Nadwa Kamatiya club that finished third in the Arab Clubs Championship for women, and the rising star Mariam HABECH from Al Ahli Saida Club, the daughter of Mohamad HABECH, who won gold medal at the West Asian Championship in the age category (2004-2005).
