09 Jan. 2016- Byblos basketball team that made an impressive start to the season by winning 3 titles last month is not invited to the upcoming West Asian Basketball Clubs Championship. Despite winning 2 official titles in 2015 (Lebanese Basketball Cup and Lebanese Super Cup), Byblos are still not allowed to take part of this championship according to the rules as the team’s history is free of the Lebanese league title.
The West Asian basketball federation invited Riyadi & Sagesse to represent Lebanon. Note that Dubai Basketball Tournament is expected to be held at the same time as the West Asia Basketball Clubs Championship and Byblos might be representing Lebanon there.
We wish our Lebanese clubs all the best in their participation outside the country. We hope to grab these 2 titles!
