13 Jan. 2016- What is happening to Byblos? After a successful start of the season (3 titles in 1 month), Byblos are falling in the league, ranked 6th after round 3 is not the result expected. Byblos secured a tough win against Louaize in the opening and lost the last 2 games against Homenetmen and Mouttahed.
Yesterday’s loss was crucial despite Byblos’ big comeback at the end of the game. Byblos players failed to match up with Mouttahed players in the first 2 quarters what gave Mouttahed the advantage of winning the game.
“Mouttahed deserves to win the game, they scored with a field goal percentage of 75% in the first two quarters what reflects the high performance of their team.” – Jean Marc KHALED commented on Mouttahed’s performance.
The president added: ” Jay is still injured and he’s not 100% ready for the games. We are still in the beginning of the league and no need to think of replacing our foreign players”.
KHALED assured that his team did everything to come back and secure the win but Mouttahed were lucky especially when it comes to the outside game.
Finally, Jean Marc assured that the management trusts its players and coaching staff. He also promised Byblos fans to improve their game and work hard to win every remaining game.
