14 Jan. 2016 – We are proud to announce the driver Charbel HABIB and his copilot Walid SAMAHA started their preparations for the 6th China to France Classic Cars Challenge that will be held on the upcoming June and July.
This will be a new adventure for our Lebanese team. The race will start on the 12th of June from the Chinese Great Wall in Beijing and the finish line will take place in Paris, France, more precisely in the Vandome arena on the 17th of July 2016.
The road trip will last for 35 days and will be 13,695 km long. 120 cars are taking part in this challenge and will pass through asian and european countries such as Mongolia, Russia, Belarus, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Hungary, Italy and Switzerland.
The race is very well organized, the participants only have four days of rest out of 35. HABIB and SAMAHA will be driving the Porche 356 C of 1964: 75 Horse Power.
The race includes three types of cars: the cars made between 1920 and 1931, the ones made between 1932 and 1941 and finally the ones made between 1942 and 1975.
All the participants took part in a meeting that was held in London, where the organizers explained everything in details for the participants including the race court, the rules etc. The participants should also be equipped in cars pieces, camping materials etc..
We should note that the Lebanese car is being prepared for the race and its front side will be covered by the Lebanese Flag! HABIB and SAMAHA will make a tour in Lebanon in preparation for the challenge before moving to China.
On the other hand, HABIB who is born in 1970, is an amateur in classic cars and owns a bunch of classic cars. HABIB and SAMAHA are the only two Arab representatives in this race that is held once every three years.
