18 Jan. 2016 – After an epic performance from Riyadi against Homenetmen in the final quarter to grab the win, the yellow club has done it again, against Tadamon this time! Indeed, after trailing by 3 points at the beginning of the last quarter, Riyadi turned things around and ended up winning 83-80 to remain without any defeat in the Lebanese basketball championship this year.
In that game, Jean Abdelnour was no doubt Riyadi‘s best player, making his presence felt on both the offensive and defense ends. He ended up with 17 points and many rebounds, some of which denied Tadamon a come back chance in the final quarter. Jeremiah Massey, who came off the bench also largely contributed in the win with 7 points in the 4th quarter.
On the other hand, Desmond Penigar was Tadamon’s best player, scoring more than 25 points and making important defensive stops. Jad Khalil, Mohamad Ibrahim and Branco were also good but their efforts were not enough to secure a win!
Now, Riyadi are going to face Mouttahed at home on Saturday while Tadamon will host Champville. Both confrontations are very exciting and all Lebanese fans will be eagerly waiting for them.
