23 Jan. 2016 – An amazing game took place in Manara between Riyadi and Mouttahed, with the hosts grabbing an important 83-77 win to remain at the top of the Lebanese basketball league without any defeat!
In today’s game, Mouttahed were missing Ramel Curry who is on short leave for personal issues. Indeed, the visitors played with 2 foreigners and yet fell just short from a win. 26 points from Mike Taylor and 29 from Reyshawn Terry kept Mouttahed ahead for the majority of the game, with Omar El Turk, Tanguy Osman and Charles Tabet also playing well and helping their team keep the lead.
But, a huge performance from Ismael Ahmad and crucial three points shots from Wael Arakji and Amir Saoud in the 4th quarter have turned things around to help the yellow team win. Moreover, Arakji dished 8 assists in that game and it really seems that he is getting back to his game as he previously promised the fans!
Now, Riyadi will play its next game against Champville in Dik El Mehdi. It will definitely be a tough game, as Champville, despite a 1-3 start are showing progress every game and can beat any team on any day.
Mouttahed on the other hand will face a rejuvenated Sagesse side at their home court in Tripoli. This game will be crucial for both teams, as they are fighting for advanced spots in the standings!
