07 Feb. 2016 – Two basketball games took place at Harboyan’s court where ESGB‘s men and women basketball teams faced those of the home team, on January 29th.
First, the men team of ESGB grabbed a 58-52 win, led by captain’s Georges Hajj Moussa’s 8 points and 5 assists. Bechara Azar meanwhile scored 5 and dished 9 assists while Michel Sallit and Jean-Pierre Valvayan combined for 19 points and 3 block shots.
On the other hand, ESGB’s women team also grabbed the victory, with a final score of 51-18. Many talented players, such as Iman Chaccour, Christelle Gerges, Rita Maria Bou Habib, Rim Beaino and Mariella Bou Habib have shown solidarity recently in order to achieve this result.
Also, this success can be credited to coach Marwan Ego who continuously boosts the players confidence and works hard to improve them!
