21 Feb. 2016- In the semi final of the 2016 WABA tournament, Champville was facing one of the toughest Iranian teams, Petrochimi.
Unfortunately, the Lebanese club fell to a 79-66 defeat, despite a very close first half. Indeed, Champville went to halftime break down by 3 points only, but in the 2nd half, the Iranians came up strong and made the break which allowed them to maintain the lead throughout the game.
Now, Al Riyadi is Lebanon’s only hope of making it to the final, as they take on Azad from Iran!
Hard luck to Champville who will now get back to focus on the Lebanese championship!
