15 Mar. 2016- Ahed secured a great win against Al Hidd club from Bahrain to secure the group A lead in the 2016 AFC Cup. Tripoli secured 1 point in their game against Al Faisaly to remain 3rd in group B.
Ahed dominated the game since the start through Hassan CHAITO who scored an early goal after 6 minutes from the start! Ahed extended the lead in the 16th minute after a mistake by Al Hidd’s goalkeeper, Ahmad ZREIK took advantage and scored a second goal for his club. Al Hidd bounced back and scored 2 goals after 13 minutes from the second half start, our team could snatch the lead one more time through MAMADOU who scored 2 goals in the 60th and 73rd minute of the game. Denis IGUMA scored the 5th goal for Ahed.

Tripoli were closer to the win in their game against Al Faisaly after leading the game 1-0 at halftime! Unfortunately our players failed to maintain the lead despite strong performance. Al Faisaly scored the equalizer 6 minutes before the end of the game.
