10 May 2016 – Riyadi youth team finished second in the Heir Apparent of Morocco Basketball Tournament after losing by only two points to the turkish host team in 25-23 points.
After winning against France in 60 to 44, Al Riyadi team wanted to withdraw because the turkish team is older than our Lebanese team, but they finally agreed to play the finals in front of the Heir Apparent Al Hussein the Third. We should note that the tournament was organized for the birthday of the Heir Apparent of Morocco.
In general, having Riyadi in the finals of this tournament is a great achievement for Lebanon who competed against Arab and European teams. They first defeated Morocco in 32-09 points then France in 29-12 points, then 29-28 against Tunis.
The riyadh youth team was formed by the following players: Youssef KHAYAT, Ahmad HATITA, Naim AL KADI,Issa MAKKAOUI, Hussein ABDALLAH, Abdelrahman HALLAK, Walid ABBOUD, Abdelhamid BEIRUTI, Walid TABBARA and Hussein YAHI coached by Nabil HASSOUN.
