12 May. 2016 – Another strong performance from Sagesse against Mouttahed led the way to another win in the series, at home this time in front of a fully packed crowd at Ghazir with a final score of 76-67!
The impressive run that Sagesse started at the beginning of their series in the quarter finals against Tadamon is still going strong as they are now leading the semi final series 2-0 and need only 2 more wins to make it to the final!
In today’s game, Hayk Gyokchyan was a game changer as he was subbed in and managed to have an impact on both ends. The foreigners trio Stoglin-Bolds-Ibekwe was also impressive just like in game 1, as they increased the lead early on and consistently denied Mouttahed the come back. Moreover, the visitors suffered also in making a come back due to the early foul trouble of Mike Taylor, who had 3 fouls at the beginning of the 2nd quarter.
Game 3 will be in Tripoli and it is a must win for Mouttahed if they want to stay in the series because it’s very hard to come back from 0-3, especially that Sagesse will get 2 chances to close the series at home!
