27 Aug. 2015- Under the sanctioning and support of the Lebanese Jiujitsu Federation and organization of Perla Abi Rashed, Ishtibak Club is proud to present the first Lebanese Combat Jujitsu Championship.
The tournament will be held at 10 AM in Ishtibak Club, Ain El Remeneh, on the 6th of July 2015 and will witness 3 round fights of 2 minutes. Rules include all kinds of striking to the head and body, standing or on ground with take-downs and submissions included. However, the strikes to knees or elbows to the head is forbidden.
The age of participation will include athletes as young as 14 years old with strict the rules forbidding any professional or internationally ranked fighter from competition.
Once again, it is great to see combat sport tournaments being encouraged locally in a country where a lot can be achieved from it. We hope this tournament turns out to be a success and wish the best of luck to all the participating clubs and fighters.
