07 Jun. 2016 – More than eight years have gone by since Lesnar made his official debut at UFC 81 losing to Frank Mir via submission in the first round. After that, he went on a tear, defeating Heath Hearing via unanimous decision in a dominating performance. Then at UFC 91 he finished Randy Couture in the second round becoming the UFC Heavyweight Champion.

Clik here to view.Continuing his run of dominance, Lesnar faced Mir in a rematch at UFC 100 battering him until the fight was stopped in the second round. He was awarded ‘Beatdown of the Year’ by Sherdog for his TKO win against Mir. Then Lesnar started to get sick, forcing him to sit on the sidelines for the next year. He made his return at UFC 116 facing Shane Carwin who dominated him in the first round leaving him bloody. Lesnar came back to surprise fans across the world delivering his first submission win of his career in the second round, defeating Carwin and tying the record for most successful consecutive UFC heavyweight championship defenses.

About seven months later, on May 12, 2011, Lesnar was again struck with diverticulitis requiring surgery and more time out of the octagon forcing him to withdraw from a fight against Junior Dos Santos. His last bout was at UFC 141 against Alistair Overeem again losing via first round TKO. Lesnar announced his retirement from MMA after the fight due to his continuous tussle with diverticulitis.
Now, over five years later, Brock Lesnar is back for one more fight. Making the official announcement this past Saturday. He will face veteran Mark Hunt at UFC 200. This will be no cakewalk for the former champ, Hunt is vicious on his feet winning by KO and TKO in his last two fights, most recently knocking out Frank Mir in the first round. Prepare yourself people, this fight has spectacular written all over it and I for one cannot wait.
