16 Aug. 2016- USJ take home yet another trophy by winning the 3×3 basketball competition in the 2nd edition of the International Danube Festival held in Milanovac, Serbia between the 10th and 14th of August.
The USJ basketball team was the only one representing Lebanon and the whole Asian continent. Coach Tony Kara’s men were able to qualify to the semi-final round defeating both Romania and Bulgaria.
The incredible performance of Farid Abou Jaoude, voted MVP of the tournament, alongside captain Carl Njeim and the talented Carl Keserwani helped USJ defeat the home team, leading their squad to the final.
Their journey ended with a well-deserved win against Belgrade thanks to the exceptional performance of Mikel El Sadka and his teammates.
