22 Aug. 2016 – The Lebanese triathlete Thierry DePolla participated in the EMBRUNMAN triathlon in France, one of the toughest races in the world.
More than 1000 athletes were competing in the race that contains a 3.8 kilometers swim, 189 kilometers biking course and a 41.195 kilometers run. Depolla managed to finish 170th overall and 57th in his group age, finishing the whole course in 13 hours, 4 minutes and 37 seconds.
What makes this race special is no doubt its difficulty, as during the biking phase, participants had to pedal up a 2500 meters mountain and then descend all the way down!
Well done Thierry, you made us proud once again.
