31 Aug. 2016- As expected the Lebanese fencers dominated the first day of the 2016 Arab Fencing Championship held in Jordan by grabbing 7 medals (2 gold, 1 silver and 4 bronze medals).
- The young Tia Abou Arraj secured a gold medal in the foil (U-11) and a bronze medal in the Epee (U-11) for Lebanon.
- Anthony Khoury secured a gold medal in the Epee (U-11) for Lebanon.
- Haddy Daccache secured the only silver medal for Lebanon in the first day and he was competing in Epee (U-11)
- Moustafa Hajj grabbed 2 bronze medals after securing 3rd place in the U-11 and U-13 Epee.
- Elias Jalbout added a bronze medal for Lebanon after securing the 3rd place in the U-11 Foil.
