04 Sep. 2016 – For the first time in his career, Abdo Feghali managed to win the Rally of Lebanon in its 39th edition after a commanding drive over the course of 3 days. The Lebanese driver indeed fended off his closest competitors, Roger Feghali and Nasser Al Attiyah, breaking away from the Qatari driver by 1 minute and 21 seconds on Saturday.
On Sunday, Al Attiyah suffered an accident that did not allow him to finish Zandouka’s stage thus losing all hopes of winning the rally. Following that, Abdo cruised to a rather easy victory on board of his Skoda Fabia R5, to clinch a well deserved win! Tamer Ghandour meanwhile finished second while Rodrigue Rahi rounded up the podium in third place.
