09 Sep. 2016 – The world’s top class players have landed in Lebanon today, just before the Game of Legends, and have shared their thoughts ahead of the long awaited game. Here’s what they had to say:
Marco Materazzi, the former Italian player revealed that this is his first time visiting Lebanon and that he ignores everything about Lebanese football, thus making this game a great opportunity for him to get to know this popular game in our country.
For David Trezeguet, this will also be his first visit to Lebanon. He said that he is proud to be here and that he is here to have fun and enjoy the game.
And while David Trezeguet is here to enjoy the Game of Legends, Paul Scholes, the Manchester United legendary midfielder, is here to put up a great show for the audience to enjoy. He said that he wants to entertain the fans in this game and that he is looking forward to tomorrow’s game.
Finally, Lionheart Carles Puyol said that his injury kept him away from the football fields. He couldn’t play anymore so he sees this game as an opportunity for him to do what he does best one more time. He also added that he was happy to know there’s a Barcelona fan base in Lebanon. He is also thrilled to see the fan base of his former club expanding throughout the whole world.
We are welcoming these top notch football icons with open arms and we hope our esteemed guests enjoy their stay in Lebanon. We have high expectations for tomorrow’s game and we’re sure that these football giants can deliver.
