Manchester City continue run of dominance with victory over Swansea

25 Sep. 2016- Hoping to stay perfect, Manchester City traveled to Swansea and beat the hosts in what was Aguero’s first match after serving a two week suspension. The Argentinian scored two goals, one in the first, and one in the second half. Raheem Sterling would seal the deal shortly after Aguero’s second goal handing City another three points.

To no surprise, Manchester City came out firing. Scoring their first goal before the 10-minute mark. Sagna found Aguero in the box, sent the ball his way, and let the prolific attacker do the rest. However, Swansea came right back within minutes, as Fernando Llorente blasted an eye-popping volley past Claudio Bravo to make the score 1-1.

With everything tied up, both teams entered the second half feeling confident. With that being said, City controlled the pace eventually becoming to much for the hosts to handle. Unable to contain his man Mike van der Hoorn instead would foul Kevin De Bruyne inside the penalty box. The result of that was another Sergio Aguero goal. His fifth Premier League goal of the season. Still, City weren’t done as 10 minutes later, Sterling would score a superb solo goal to secure the Citizen’s victory.

To say the least, it was simply another impressive performance by Pep Guardiola’s men. City have improved each game, and it will be interesting to see how long they can remain undefeated. Manchester City face-off against Tottenham next week in what should be a thriller. Swansea host Liverpool, and will probably looking at similar results this time next week.
