Pogba leads the way as United return to form defeating Leicester City

25 Sep. 2016- After suffering two consecutive Premier League defeats, Jose Mourinho’s side bounced back in the best way possible. Thrashing the defending champs 4-1 in front of more than 75,000 screaming fans. However, that wasn’t the only thing people were talking about after the match. Long-time Manchester United player Wayne Rooney was benched in place of youngster Marcus Rashford.

After starting 3-0, everyone was talking about the great play by the new players, and the great coaching of the new manager. All of a sudden United drop two straight games, and Mourinho goes from the “Special One” to the man with old tactics that no longer bring success in today’s style of play. Those people need to pump the breaks a little. It’s a new team, with several different players that not only have to learn to play with their new teammates, but have to do so while learning a new system. Mistakes will happen, and errors will occur.

Not to make those losses sound like nothing, but there’s no need to throw in the towel on United’s season. After six games, they are only one point out of the top four. Not great, but not horrible. It seems as though people have forgotten about how this season was expected to be the most competitive premier league season in recent memory.

All in all, it was a great win. Because of it, Manchester United fans should be able to sit comfortably at home with little to worry about. However, with that being said, a hiccup every now and then should be expected.
