25 Sep. 2016- For the first time in a long time, Arsenal fans have a reason to smile after facing Chelsea. In their ten previous games, Arsenal hadn’t beaten Chelsea once. In what many were calling a close to perfect performance, the Gunners ended the sad streak in dominating fashion defeating Chelsea 3-0.

With defensive mistakes continuously adding up for Chelsea, it didn’t take long for Gary Cahil to add another one to the list. Alexis Sanchez wasted no time taking full advantage of the mistake, and putting him up by one early in the game. It took even less time for Arsenal to double their lead following some crisp passing that ended with a Theo Walcott goal. Mesut Ozil scored their third and final goal, volleying in an Alexis Sanchez cross after the two of them made Gary Cahil and David Luiz look nothing short of silly.

Riding their 3-0 lead, Arsenal cruised through the second half. The visitors managed to muster a couple chances, but never looked like they had a comeback in them. With this being their second consecutive defeat to a top Premier League team, Antonio Conte will surely be looking to make some adjustments.

Chelsea will hope to get back to their winning ways when they travel to Hull City next week. Arsenal will look to add to the momentum they built following yesterday’s win.
