12 Oct. 2016 – In the presence of the two National record holders in High Jump, Jean Claude Rabbat and Carine Bitchakjian, Nourhane El Couch was attempting to improve her high jump record today in the Municipality Stadium Ansar, in Beirut.
The young champion perfectly cleared 1.48m and 1.52m. Her Midget and Youth record stands at 1.55 meters. She failed three attempts at 1.56m, but with her first attempt, she was very close at clearing the bar.
Despite not being able to set a new record, Nourhane jumped four times above 1.50m this season. She jumped 1.48m in May but the rest of her jumps were 1.52, 1.54, 1.55 and today 1.52 meters. With the guidance of her coach Jean Claude Rabbat, the young girl who has been very consistent will have another chance to raise the bar high in the upcoming weeks.
We should also mention the huge support she has from her parents and family which is vital for every young athlete.
