21 Oct. 2016- It’s hard to think of anything that would outshine Jose Mourinho’s return to Stanford Bridge. In fact, this may be the one thing that would. This weekend marks the 20th anniversary of life-long Chelsea fan, and former vice-chairman for Chelsea, Matthew Harding’s tragic death. He died in a helicopter accident along with four others after watching a League Cup match at Bolton. Harding was 42.

Matthew Harding started out as nothing more than your usual Chelsea fan. Being the hard working man he was, Harding eventually became a millionaire, and also Chelsea’s vice-chairman. Something probably every sports fan dreams of. Yet still despite all his success, the fan in him never disappeared. Even after becoming vice-chairman, Harding would still sit in the stands with his fellow Chelsea fans.

Antonio Conte’s side better be ready this Sunday. With Mourinho making his return, and this being such a huge day for the organization the pressure is on. Hopefully they will not disappoint. In honor of Harding, Chelsea will have banners, and a flag. Tributes will also be on any tickets sold for Sunday’s match-up with Manchester United.
