13 Oct. 2016 – Four LIU Basketball players are representing Lebanon at the 3×3 Arab Basketball Tournament that is being held in Sharjah under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qasimi.
Karen Dagher, Romy Lawand, Nelly Nassar and Daniella Fayad were able to grab their first win today. They defeated the Olympic Club from Algeria in a very close game that ended in 13-12 points for our Lebanese team.
Our women had a morning practice today before kicking off at 3:30 PM with the Game 1 of Pool B. The team, supported by Yasser El Hajj, is aiming the podium. They will have other games coming up soon!
