05 Nov.2016 – After stumbling in their first game at the Henry Chalhoub Basketball Tournament, Mouttahed got back up on their feet to snatch a 70-59 win against Mayrouba.
A great run in the second half of the game gifted Mouttahed this precious win, with Ramel Curry scoring 20 points and Waithe 19. Thiago Makhlouf was also given 21 minutes of play by coach Abaz and he was able to post 7 points and 6 rebounds.
On the other hand, the foreign duo Orton-Kevin scored 26 points for Mayrouba, 13 each, while Tom Ammar added 12 and Albert Zeinoun. The newly promoted club is still searching for rythm, so once the season starts things will surely get better as the players play more games together.
