05 Nov. 2016 – After defeating Morocco, the host nation, in the semi finals of the Arab Beach Volleyball University championship, Joe Azzi and Chafic Saliba lost in the final against Oman.
The duo did an amazing job in this championship by raising our flag high.
Their journey in the championship began with a first game and a first win against Jordan.
Game 2 for our champions was as good as game 1. Their hard work and dedication along with their experience and rigorous training gave them the edge needed to overcome their Palestinian opponents. They won the game 2-0 both sets ending 21-8.
They only lost one game against UAE before the final match. Grabbing a silver medal at this championship is a great achievement for Lebanon.
