07 Nov. 2016- After taking part in a rigorous training camp in Cyprus, the Lebanese judo delegation competed there in a Senior competition.
3 out of the Lebanese judokas came back with medals around their necks, noting that they were competing with older athletes.
Jad Fadel, who played in the -100kg category won 3 games: 2 against Cyprus and 1 against Japan but lost to Greece. He ended up with the silver medal.
Hanna Touma played with the +100kg, won against Cyprus then lost against Cyprus to also end up with the silver medal.
Joe Haddad, youngest athlete in the delegation plays with the Cadets in Lebanon got bronze. He was able to win against Greece and Cyprus to later lose against Cyprus.
As for Angelo Abiad, he missed the podium by a fine line. He won against Greece but lost 2 fights against Cyprus, thus losing the bronze medal.
