14 Nov. 2016 – The 2016 Lebanese Sabre (Fencing) Championship was won by the Army “A” team, comprised of Mahmoud Ali Ahmad, Chafic El Khoury, Rabih Wehbe and Ziad Jalbout.
In the final, the Army team was facing Mont La Salle “A” at Emile Lahoud Sports Stadium and managed to defeat them to claim the title.
The bronze medal meanwhile went to both Mont La Salle “B” and Lebanese Army “B”.
