Predators & Lycans off to a Strong Start in the Lebanese Rugby League

15 Nov.2016 – On Saturday November 12th, the first two games of the Lebanese Rugby League were played at the UL Stadium.

First, Lycans were facing Wolves at 5:00 P.M and they managed to win with a final score of 44-18. The winners’ tries in that game came through Wael Harb (2nd), Ray Sabat (16th), Joe Zeidan (21st, 35th, 66th) and Jean Marie Rizkallah (34th, 74th). Goals meanwhile were scored by Wael Harb (5/7) and Jean Marie Rizkallah (1/1). On the other hand, Adib Kahi (24th, 77th) and Michel Bejjani (59th) were able to get Wolves tries while Paul Khauli got 3/3 goals.

Secondly, a commanding performance from the Predators in the other game awarded them a large win against Tripoli, 54-0. After taking a 32-0 lead at halftime. They did not stop their rampant run in the second half to grab a win that put them on top of the league through goal difference. First try in that game came through Ghassan Dandash in the 3rd minute before he added many others in the 21st, 28th, 67th and 77th. The others came through Imad Chidiac (13th), Steven Sokhn (25th), Elie Bou Latouf (35th), Jonas Mourkar (55th) and Charbel Whaibe (79th). Ghassan scored 7/10 goals for the winning team to cement the win.
