21 Nov.2016– Our Lebanese team came out victorious in the first two games of the tournament.
Their first victory didn’t come easy as it took a buzzer beater from Georges Yves Daaboul in OT to get past France with a 17-16 score. This first win shifted momentum to our side as we ran riot against Australia to clinch our second win 17-9.
As the second day of the tournament begins tomorrow, our adversaries are none other than hosts China and later on Taiwan.
Although we are already qualified as 4 teams go through, it is very important to win tomorrow as a seat further up the table will give us an easier road to the finals.
Best of luck to our young guys Samir El-Khoury, Bilal Nazha, Elia Abi Saleh and Georges Yves Daaboul in their quest to bring the gold home.
