24 Nov. 2016 – The Lebanese Olympic Committee, representatives of the Minister of Sports and the Lebanese Taekwondo Federation welcomed Laeticia Aoun, the Juniors World bronze medalist in taekwondo, and the whole Lebanese Delegation at the airport yesterday.
The WTF World Juniors Championship was held in Canada, and Laeticia Aoun (Mont La Salle) was able to grab a bronze medal in the -52kg Juniors Women category. The young talented player just added a new title to her fruitful career. She previously won a silver medal at the 2016 Taekwondo Turkish Open, a gold medal at the 2015 Croatia Open and a silver in Asia.
The athletes were accompanied by Grand Master Bassem Aad as head of the delegation and Master Marc Harb the team official. The president of the Lebanese Olympic Committee, Jean Hammam, congratulated the winner and the whole delegation for their achievement.
