03 Dec.2016 – Hoops will take on Tadamon in the last game of round 1 on Sunday afternoon.
Both teams are actually very similar. They jointly believe in young emerging talents to lead their team. Clearly, Ali Mezher and Jad Khalil are two of the best point guards in our league. Skillful, great vision, and ball handling, we will be in for a treat. Jad may have a slight advantage as he has Rony Fahed backing him up. Experience is a big chunk of this game.
Not to forget about Izzat and Omar Kaissi who can both slash to the basket and take their shots when present. Full of passion and driven by their coach, they can perform and be up to the standard. On the other side, Aziz Abed EL Masih and Farid Abou Jaoude will be aching to have a chance to prove their worth.
Head to head battles are not over as Khalil Aoun will face up to Bilal Tabbara. Both players are known for their tough defense and rough play as they leave everything on the floor. Down low, Darrius Garrett will take on Ali Fakhredine and Jonathan Holton in a battle to secure the boards and protect the rim. Not to forget about Gerard Hadidian and Maurice Kemp who will add size to their team and will surely cause problems to Hoops’ front court.
On the wings, Earvin Morris and Curtis Millage will put on a show as both guards will look to dominate the other in order to clinch that first victory.
We should note that both foreign coaches like to count on defense, whether betting on full court to force turnovers or plain old rough man to man. We might be in for a low-scoring game.
