03 Dec. 2016 – Giovani Samaha, who was seeded 1 in the qualification draw of his first Futures Egypt F35 Tournament in Al Solymaineyah, succeeded in the qualification draw before losing in the first round of the main draw.
The tennis player won his first match against Anwar Al Kamouny from Egypt in 6-0, 6-0 but lost against the Ukrainian player Yurii Dzhavakian in the men’s singles first round of the main draw in 2-0 (1-6, 3-6).
In the men’s doubles, the Lebanese player joined forces with the German to defeat the Ukrainians in 4-6, 6-4, 10-8! In the quarter finals, they lost against the Indians Chandril Sood and Lakshit Sood in 7-6(8), 6-2, who later on defeated the Austrian team in the semi-final.
