22 Sep. 2015 – The preparations for the 1st Martial Arts International Festival are still on! The event is organized by Solidere, Sayfco and Track Development in cooperation with Sports Evasion in the capital, Beirut. The event is also supported by the minister of tourism Michel PHARAON. It will be held on the 25th and 26th September 2015 in Beirut water front.
More than 150 martial arts fighters from Lebanon and the world are taking part in this festival, more precisely from China, Japan, South Korea, India, Morocco and France. The players will present a show of different kind of martial arts as the kung fu wu shoo, karate, taekwondo, MMA, Ikido, Thai boxing, kick boxing, Muai Thai etc. The Special forces in the Lebanese Army are also taking part in this show!
Lebanese people will notice for the first time such a variety of high level skills!
“Delegations will start arriving on Wednesday to Beirut, the city that will host a Sports Event that is first in its kind in the Middle East, and that will get back again on the international map of sports. ” Said Toufic KAOUAR, one of the organizers and a martial arts passionate.
“The shows will be presented between 8:00 and 10:00 PM on Friday and Saturday, and I call every sports enthusiast to attend this event that is grouping professionals from Lebanon and the world, especially the countries where the martial arts are born in.” Added KAOUAR.
He also added that stadium stands will available to 2500 spectators with huge screens to follow up the shows. He finally thanked the organizers, the sponsors, the minister of tourism Michel PHARAON, the General of the Lebanese Army Jean KAHWAJI, the sports federations, Solidere, Dr Nader CHAMMAA, the PR Randa ARMNAZI, the CEO of Ssayfco Holding Chahe YERVANIAN and the Embassies.
This event will be a unique opportunity for the Lebanese people and the sports lovers to watch international and high level martial arts shows. The organizers are keen to make this event an annual one in Beirut like it is annually organized in Paris under the name of “A night of martial arts”.
