Homenetmen have been on a roll and don’t look like holding back anytime soon.
A trio of Fadi, Majok and Jackson has proved to be an unstoppable one. A mixture of speed, athletism, skills and great shooting has been devastating in their opening 4 games. Mayrouba’s foreign trio of Cage, Upshaw, Bohannon will have a fierce battle tonight. Honestly, nothing is going in Mayrouba’s favor but slacking off may cause Homenetmen a lot of problems. Big teams tend to take it easy and lose focus in games they think they have won before it even started.
Fouad Anati has been playing good basketball lately 11 points against Hoops to get the W. His job won’t be only trying to score some vital points, but also he might be given the task of guarding Nadim Souaid. Nadim has evolved a lot since last season. Great shooting percentage and awesome decision making, he has turned himself into a go-to guy among a pool of stars.
Another guy who proved he can take the heat, one of the last Lebanese players to have signed, Tomm Ammar has been trying to give his best through his first 4 games. One of the few Lebanese players capable of adding something new to this lineup. On the contrary, Homenetmen have a lot of role players that they can count on. Having Hayk, Elie Chamoun, Karam Mechref and Nadim Hawi on the bench is a big relief to coach Joe. A deep bench is one of the requirements to be able to win a championship. Not to forget about Sevag, who always shows passion and determination every time he’s on court.
Odds are not in Mayrouba’s favor but they will surely go out with nothing to lose and that’s the most dangerous thing Homenetmen can face.
