19 Dec.2016– Mouttahed host Louaize on Monday night in a much-anticipated game.
Mouttahed are coming fresh out of a great victory against Champville as Louaize battled Tadamon last time at home but came out on the wrong end.
Mouttahed are shaping up to be a contender to this year’s title. Playing great basketball and getting everybody involved, they are a threat to any team this season. Dewarick Spencer and Ramel Curry are leading their team greatly. A duo that has no cure, no remedy, causing headaches to their opposition’s defense. Two of the best shooters to have played in our league may have a tough time against a very well organized Louaize defense. Clearly, their winning ticket, Louaize’s defense has been rock solid. Players like Ribal Bechara and Rabih Dib can make the difference guarding any player. Coach Marwan’s matchup zone and switches on plays are remarkable.
Mouttahed’s defense will have their own work as they need to find someone capable of stopping Geron Johnson. Will it be Elie Stephan or Omar Ayoubi or Even Ralph Akl? Whoever guards him will need help as coach Abaz will surely place traps on the sides of the court to try and limit his speed and versatility.
Down low we will witness a great fight between Will Daniels and Wendell Lewis. 2 great centers with enormous talent, speed, and great footwork. Establishing dominance will be critical. Especially that Daniels will team up with Charles Tabet to catch the boards and score those vital points. Lewis might need all the help he can have with Travis McKie filling the frontcourt next to him.
