22 Sep. 2015 – It is truly a sad period for the whole Lebanese futsal community, as Al Achrafieh’s futsal player Mohamed Awada tragically passed away.
Awada, who was on a hunting trip with his friends last Friday despite not being interested in that activity at all, got hit by a bullet due to a shooting mistake from one of the hunters. The injury left by the bullet was way too serious and cost the player his life.
Mohamed played for many clubs during his career, and had just signed a contract with Al Achrafieh. He was very talented and loved by all his teammates, and the news of his death left them in shock and sadness.
It is extremely sad and unfair to see Mohamed leave us this way, and this season, as well as the upcoming ones, are never going to be the same without him.
Rest in peace Mohamed…
