20 Dec. 2016 – The Lebanese Tennis Federation is working on raising the level of the sport in Lebanon. One of the ways of improvement comes from the referees.
Therefore, the federation invited the International Referee Wael Abbas from Egypt to give a seminar for our Lebanese tennis referees. The sessions were held at the federation office located in Dbayeh.
Eighteen local referees took part in the seminar that lasted for four consecutive days and it included: Visual lessons and direct application. At the end of the seminar, the participants received a certificate in the presence of the president of the federation Oliver Faycal and members of the federation and local referees.
It is certain that the new referees learned a lot from Abbas who visited Lebanon several times before to supervise regional and Arab championships as well as Davis cups that were held in our country.
