28 Sep. 2015 – The Lebanese futsal national team finalized all preparations in Beirut, and is now headed to Kuala Lumpur in order to play the West Asian qualifiers that will grant Lebanon a ticket to Asia 2016 (Uzbekistan) from October 1 until October 3.
3 weeks of training were all the Lebanese team got, due to the change in schedule made by Asian federation. Indeed, the West Qualifiers were moved from mid November to early October, which took the team by surprise and did not allow for much preparation.
During the training period in Beirut, the team played 2 friendly games, defeating Achrafieh 2-0 and a mix of AUST and USJ players 10-2.
Moreover, as soon as Lebanon landed in Kuala Lumpur, they played a friendly game against Iraq and lost 1-3, with Kamel Elias scoring Lebanon’s only goal. Tonight, another friendly is going to be played against Malaysia, before switching to training sessions only, prior to the first game in the qualifiers against Jordan on Thursday.
Here are the players that are representing Lebanon:
– Goalkeepers: Hussein Hamdany and Ghady Abi Akl.

– Wingers: Karim Abou Zeid, Hassan Zeitoun, Mohamed Kobeissy, Mustafa Serhan and Ali Rmeity.
