Lebanese Tennis: Thomas Haddad, Nour Dib and Maria Breidy Performing Abroad

31 Jan. 2017 – Three of our young tennis players are currently performing and representing Lebnon abroad in different Tennis Tournaments.

Thomas Haddad is currently playing the 2nd Fajr Junior Tournament ITF in Tehran, Iran. The great performance of the young player allowed him to secure a place in the quarter finals where he will face Sina Moghmi seed 5.

Thomas won his first round against Kourouch Armerinejad from Iran 6-0 6-0, and his second round against seed 10 from Iran, Sohrab Dokmeshin, in 6-1 6-0!

He will also team up with Mohammad Mahdi Sohrabi from Iran to play in the men’s doubles. They will both face Amirmohammad Jamshidi and Parshan Mohammad Giahi both from Iran.

On the other hand, Nour Dib is participating at the Egypt 1 ITF Junior Tournament G5 taking place in Cairo, Egypt. She won the first round against Karen Guindi from Egypt in 7-5 6-2. She will face Diala Ahmad seed 1 in the second round.

Nour will be also partnering with Zeina Hosni from Egypt in the women’s doubles. They will have to win the game against Fatima Al Ashram and Noor Omara both from Egypt in order to secure a position in the quarter finals.

Moreover, Maria Breidy just arrived in New Delhi, India, where she will be playing the ITF Asia 14 and Under Development Championship 2017, Division 1. She will be playing her round 2 match against seed 3 Alexandra Eala from the Republic of Philippines.

Last but not least, the Girls U14 National team started training with Coach Valerie Maalouf in Zouk Mosbeh. The young ladies are: Leaticia Rizk, Anna Maria Hayek, Joan Madi, Yasmine Zacca, Joyline Abou Hamad and of course Maria Breidy who is currently in India.
